My Mum always told her granddaughters that the way to attract a boy’s attention was to drop their handkerchief. Apparently it worked well for her at Saturday night dances!
Equal opportunity handkerchief use, guys!

My Granny told me that a girl who wore her skirt above the knee was “obviously a trollop”. and that was “something wrong” with women who wore trousers.
Ah the good old days.
I had a female boss once who said that if a woman wore trousers/pants two days in a row they were lesbians. Then she chose a uniform for us that was trousers!
maybe she was trying to “enlighten” you. hahaha
She always wore skirts!
My Mom dropped her camera at a wedding and my Dad (who was an usher) picked it up for her.(that’s how they met) She always tells the story of how her Mom (my Nana) said the hankie would not have broken had she dropped one instead!
Oh I love that story, it is perfect, and the perfect mother comment. Mr FD was involved in a car accident when a young man and his mother said that if he hadn’t been there it wouldn’t have happened!
