Day two of the school term and I am exhausted. I have introduced QR codes, created branding and a logo for the library, arranged for trials of databases, written an article for the school year book, participated in a compulsory child protection workshop, and all the other things a teacher librarian does in a normal day, whatever normal is these days.

And we won’t even talk about all the niceness that was required of me. It just never ends, and my cup of niceness is near empty. I don’t even have the energy to pull Mr FD into line and that is a task not to be neglected.

Tomorrow is another day…and to think this time last week I was swanning around Cairns enjoying the life I was meant to have. In my next life I am going to remember to marry rich!
