Great pics.
I have a carved walking stick . . . made for my great great grandmother . . . by a suitor she ended up not marrying.
The carving is intricate and exquisity with celtic symbols.
How romantic! I wondered if she ever used it to keep men at bay!
And here I thought this would be a list of the people who had recently joined up the stick list.
Give me time, it is only my first week! However, there is one male school library technician who has shot onto the list. He is arrogant, lazy and self serving, and I may do more than hit him with my stick. I will leave the details to your imagination.
Must be crowded inside the little house in your last photo.
LOL! Maybe it is the place old sticks go to rest!
I love all the different poses and backgrounds of the ladies with the sticks. Its like despite their looks, they can still hit you with that stick without batting an eye.
I am sure that in times past it would have been an important subject at ladies’ finishing schools! How to take out an enemy or an annoyance in one hit without ruffling the hair or chipping the nail polish!
